This Kontes Potter-Elvehjem tissue grinder has a polytetrafluoroethylene (PTFE) pestle and an unground glass tube. Clearance between pestle and tubes is 0.004-inch to 0.006-inch. Replacement components are available and completely interchangeable.
Similar to 885500 but with a PTFE pestle and an unground tube.
Sizes 21 to 24 have radial serrations on the lower portion of the pestle to deliver the homogenate into the cylindrical portion of the tube.
